Founder & Head Coach — Assessment-led coaching built on movement science, performance data and lived athletic experience.
Chris grew up in competitive basketball, earning a full athletic scholarship to university, where his passion for the performance side of sport began to reshape his direction. Watching what separated athletes at the highest level, he became increasingly driven by the science of human performance, movement analysis and the physiological foundations that make athletes better.
He holds a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science and a Masters degree in Sports Marketing, and has deepened his understanding of movement and health through the UHPC model developed by Bill Hartman. His early professional career was built at Third Space London, where he worked as a strength and conditioning coach, one of the most demanding and rigorous performance environments in the UK. He later founded his own personal training practice, using the years that followed to intensify his study of human movement, assessment-led programming and long-term performance development.
The idea for DVOTION came from a clear gap Chris observed: driven professionals who work full time, managing real lives, with serious athletic ambitions but no access to the kind of professional-grade assessment and coaching that elite athletes take for granted. DVOTION was founded to close that gap, giving committed people the data, structure and support their effort deserves.
Chris practises what he coaches. He grew up playing competitive basketball and earned a full athletic scholarship to university before transitioning into endurance sport. Within two years he had completed five marathons, then progressed through ultramarathon distances of 50km, 75km and 100km. On 6 June 2026, he completed Ultra Scotland — 104 miles through the Scottish Highlands, with 5,300m+ of elevation gain — in 29 hours. It was his first 100-mile race. Persistent rain meant his shoes and socks stayed wet from start to finish; by the final 21 kilometres, significant blistering made every step painful. He didn't consider stopping. Finishing was non-negotiable. He crossed the line alongside a fellow DVOTION coach. His motivation is not podiums. It is choosing the path that most won't, and breaking the limits he once thought were fixed. That is what "for the devoted" means in practice — not a tagline, but a lived standard that sits at the core of everything DVOTION does.
