Sports Psychologist — Positive psychology for endurance athletes — confidence, resilience and race-day composure.
William Arena is DVOTION's sports psychologist, specialising in positive psychology for endurance athletes. His work is built around a structured 1-to-1 coaching model that combines positive psychology and sport psychology, helping marathon runners, triathletes, and endurance athletes improve confidence, resilience, focus, recovery, and sustainable performance.
His programme guides athletes through a progressive journey across eight sessions, from building self-awareness and understanding athlete identity, to reconnecting with purpose and values, developing a resilient mindset, building mental toughness, optimising race-day focus, and sustaining peak performance long after the session ends.
William has been involved in applied sports psychology work with the University of East London basketball team and American football team, bringing both academic rigour and real-world experience to his practice. His sessions are practical, structured, and designed to produce meaningful psychological change — not just in competition, but in how athletes relate to their training and themselves.
